Africa is often called “the motherland;” the very birthplace of the human race. But we often forget that Africa is also home to a motherload of distinct cuisines. And I should add, Africa has long been a mother lode of ancient chefs and foods for the rest of the world. African spices are known for their ability to enhance almost any dish, bringing it to a gourmet level.
In this episode, we are proud to present to you Alnif Cumin a Moroccan spice that goes well in boiled meat, vegetables, and even soups!
I am not a food writer. I am not a chef. I am not even the best cook. I was reminded of this recently when I tried cooking dinner for my family. It was going to be a surprise but the fire trucks ruined it. Need I say more? But I know good food when I taste it! Sometimes too much though. My doctor recently told me to stop having intimate dinners for four. (Unless there are three other people).
Now go off and cook up a Sahara-level storm. Remember to sprinkle a dash of Africa spices. They will elevate and transform even the simplest dish into something divine. Because humanity originated from there (duh!). Here is the icing on the cake! Africans living in the USA can now get most of these on Amazon or other outlets. Thank God for technology!
